The Michigan Association of Community and Adult Education is a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the importance of lifelong learning opportunities through community education. Built upon the legacy of philanthropist Charles Stewart Mott, community educators practice the belief that K-12 schools and facilities should be open and responsive to the unique needs of each community. By building community partnerships, MACAE strives to help individuals and families attain the education, training, enrichment, recreation, care and support they need to be self sufficient, contributing members of their communities. Key focus areas include early childhood development, before/after school, enrichment, recreation, and alternative and adult education. http://www.macae.org/
